After moving into a new house with literally hundreds of lights I went into shock when I saw the first electric bill. Something had to be done. I bought several boxes of these bulbs and started replacing bulbs. I had always been afraid of the "start up time" of flourescents, but these start quickly even in cold weather (outside fixtures in Ohio). The energy savings is great, and Sam's Club took care of the broken bulbs both times in less than a week.
