This caramel was a great purchase. It tasted wonderful. I do have a couple of recommendations. Just placing it in a crock pot didn't work for me, it needed to be heated up first. I microwaved it on half power to prevent burning. Also, I added small amounts of whole milk to thin it out just slightly and make the caramel go further. This helped to put a thinner coating on the apples but don't add too much or the caramel will not get firm and will slide off the apple. I would estimate one 5lb block covered 40-45 apples. I rated value at 4 because I had to purchase this item online and pay for rush shipping on 80lbs.

Product is really good Used at concession stand, put in crock pot cut up apple and pour carmel over apple even kid's with braces can eat it that way....much healthier than some of the other snacks they buy
