Great set of Tires, 01/03/2009
By: GTownFamily , Germantown, MD
I drive a 2003 Honda Odyssey. These tires have excellent grip in the rain and snow. I recently drove on hilly back roads in the snow with lots of cars sliding off the road and spinning their wheels. These tires along with the Honda's traction control inspired confidence all the way home. These tires do produce a bit of noise but the trade off is well worth the foul weather traction you will have. Noise is more pronounced on concrete as opposed to asphalt. Keep them rotated and properly inflated and you'll be fine.

One note...call Sam's first to verify that they have them in stock. Even though website says Special Order, they had them in my store already.

Have over 80,000 miles and still some tread left. Going to replace because we live in snow country and not enough tread left to feel safe for another winter. Great handling tire both wet and dry.

Quiet Tire, 05/23/2008
By: Rotterdam
I bought a '99 Honda Odyssey three years ago. It had almost new Goodyear Viva II tires on it at the time, which I THOUGHT was a good thing. I put only 15,000 miles on them, and the entire time, before taking on a passenger, I apologized in advance for the extremely loud road noise of my van when it's on the highway. I was finally prompted to buy tires when I momentarily lost steering twice on the highway during a rainstorm, even though the Vivas still had PLENTY of tread. After replacing the Vivas with Triple-Treds, the van is whisper-quiet by comparison. I had considered the Comfor-Treds, but believed the van to be too inherently noisy to make full use of them. Now I'm not so sure that's true, but the Triple-Treds are certainly quiet enough for me, and I LOVE the newfound feeling of control on the road. I find it hard to understand WHY Goodyear would damage its reputation with a lousy tire like the Viva II when it's capable of making a tire like the Triple-Tred.
