Awesome for so many dishes!!, 12/20/2008

It's great for cooking green beans, cabbage, and different Greens (Collard, Mustard, turnips). Instead of Bacon/Ham hocks, use chicken base.
It flavors our soups, gravys etc.
If you like Dressing (Stuffing) it's great to cook your veggies or extra gibblings, etc.
It's the best for quick gravys. Chicken Base or Beef Base. You want be disappointed, but don't forget to place in the Fridge after opening. I made that mistake once. :-) I still use chicken stock, but l reach for Chicken Base in a Pinch. "Happy Holidays!"

mm...mm...good!

I was with a friend and needed her to make
a chicken soup base purchase from another
store club. After using the chicken base, it
tasted very sugary; which is an uncommon
and unsavory flavor for chicken noodle soup.
I should have noticed that maltodextrin and
cane sugar were the 2nd and 4th ingredients.
I've noticed companies relying more heavily on sugar to sell their usually non-sweet food products over the years. I felt like saying, "I don't care if it's organic, just don't put so much sugar in my food!" Wouldn't they love
to have sweet chicken noodle soup for lunch.
Thank You, Holly Brabeau
