motor didn't work,

ordered in time for daughter's soccer party. set up the night before. motor didn't work. called customer service for sephra the next morning. very pleasant but no suggestions for how to make it right before team dinner. ultimately had to run to rental place and rent one for the day. it's a good looking unit, except that the plastic tiers are cheaply constructed, but it's no good if the motor doesn't work. hopefully, mine was the only lemon Sam's is carrying.

Bought this for a company party not sure what to expect...DREADING the assembly.....purchased the Sephora milk chocolate, melted in microwave, stirred, poured in bottom, turned on, all set, smooth operation, NO problems, was FANTASTIC...easy set up (IGNORE directions...long drawn out & confusing) just follow instinct, don't turn on until all melted though!!!!) VERY EASY to use and very pretty!

Poor quality control,

We ordered two well in advance for a fancy Bar Mitzvah house party. Since I anticipated 80 guests, I ordered two. Good thing I did, since one was completely defective. It could not be turned on at all - perhaps an electrical problem. The other one worked fine for a while, then started to have gaps in the curtain of chocolate. Perhaps that was due to temperature (coolish room), or perhaps it needed to have more chocolate added. By then, everyone had had their fun, anyway. In any event, we just melted the white chocolate that was supposed to be used for the other fountain, and put it out for dipping. We melted the Chocoley's chocolate before we put it into the fountain that worked, and it flowed fine without adding oil. We used milk chocolate at my son's request, but I also tasted the dark and the white - I preferred the dark. The milk chocolate doesn't have a strong enough flavor to stand up to the dipping items. White chocolate was a nice contrast. When all is said and done, I can't recommend the product. Others have written that they had the same problem - set it up, and the unit simply didn't run. If I had only ordered one, I would have been sorely disappointed to have my big event ruined.

Easy to Use & Clean,

I purchased this for my nephew's wedding and was nervous about using it and not trying it out, but I did not want to spend the $$ on chocolate or deal with the clean up for the trial, so I took my chances. It worked beautifully! We melted the chocolate in a crockpot, setting it on high until it got hot and turning it down to warm and stirring often (about 4 hours prior to use). When it came time to pour it in and turn it on, I was scared but the fountain worked great and was a hit! Clean-up really was a breeze too. I didn't get to it until the following day, but the chocolate in the bottom was still soft and I was able to scrape most of it out with a rubber spatula. The other pieces come apart and wash in the sink. The bowl part does not come off, but after wiping it out with paper towels, I just took a soapy dishcloth and cleaned the rest, all in all clean up was probably 15 minutes. I ordered the chocolate sold on this site and did not have to add anything to it!! Good Luck!!

Wonderful addition to wedding reception,

We purchased this for our son's wedding reception. We purchased our chocolate at WalMart, if you buy this, be sure to purchase chocolate with it. less expensive that way. Same chocolate as WalMart. It is very easy to melt in double boiler. My hubby leveled it really well because it flowed beautifully at first attempt. Very Very easy to use. Works impressive at any dinner or reception. Lots of compliments.

I bought the chocolate fountain to use at my husband's 50th birthday party. It was a hit! People couldn't wait for me to turn it on. Two hints- plan for the time you'd like the fountain to be up and running, it takes time to melt the chocolate: take it apart and clean it when finished using. I left it until the next day which made it quite a task. If I would have done it when the chocolate was still melted, it would have been a breeze. I can't wait to use it again at our next party!

Life of the party!,

This chocolate fountain was the life of the party! It was very easy to assemble. I used the chocolate fountain wafers purchased from sam's club-melted in microwave. Turned out awesome! This was definitely the life of the party!!! Even though the parts can be washed in dishwasher I decided to handwash to prevent any scratches. Enjoy!

Just got this yesterday and decided to try it before my daughter's b-day to make sure it was up to par.....and this is an awesome machine. This was super easy to assemble...the Chocolate Fountain chocolate wafers melted in less than 20 minutes...and I cleaned up quickly. This was a great purchase. I highly recommend this machine. The chocolate was also a purchase from SAM's....awesome tasting.

Fabulous!!!,

I bought this for a school orchestra party, and the teenagers loved it !!! I have used other fountains that were terrible to use, between mixing the chocolate & the oil, it was a mess. This fountain is sturdy and so easy to use and clean up. Imagine a group of teenagers around this fountain, and it was stable! As a bonus to all "dish pan hands", the parts that get chocolate on them are dishwasher safe - YEA!!!!!!!
