I bought this chest based on the other reviews and searching virtually everywhere for a quality, good size, feature packed tool box. This thing is very good quality and is built to last. No cheap components and large enough to store anything you need. Another review talked about the only drawback (if you can call it that) which is the overprotection the manufacturer did with the film that is removed when you unpack the unit. It is extremely well protected in the box and it is time consuming but easy to remove the film that protects the stainless. I highly recommend this chest as it is one of the best "bang for the buck" tool boxes on the market!

II purchased this tool chest because I like the full width drawers. Although they do not show the dimensions the width is 41" without the side handles, if you install the handles its slightly over 45". The depth is 18". The top lid hangs over the front, so when you raise the lid the top shelve is open from the front. No more standing on your toes to look down, it also has gas cylinders on the lid so it opens easily.
I checked the thickness of the metal used on the drawers and it's the same as other tool chest that I own. Assembly was easy except for the removal of the protective film over the stainless. It comes off easily but it does wear on your patients. Although it may not be considered a professional chest, it falls in line with the other storage units available at most stores.
The packaging was done very well, and for the money it's a good value and I was surprised at the quality.
