I purchased this set after many months of searching, both online and in stores. The set is beautiful and very well priced. I have used this dining set for about a year, it looks beautiful on my deck. This is easy to assemble, with clear directions.
I like the fact that the chairs and bench fit under the table. The bench is really a nice touch. While the slats on the chair appear to be thin, believe me the chair is quite strong. I weigh 170 lbs, I stood on the chair and it supported my weight. Teak is a very strong, very durable wood.
I have received numerous compliments on this set, everyone says that it looks very expensive. If you are looking for a nice set that is not too expensive, then this is the set for you.

This teak dining set was perfect for our porch. Put some teak oil on it to bring out the color/depth of the wood and it looks great. The left side of the bench was received with a small split/crack in the leg but a phone call to the supplier has hopefully resolved the problem. They were suppose to ship a replacement part yesterday via UPS.

I am very please with my purchase. The patio set is very charming. I like how the chairs and the bench look around the table...the bench makes the set unique and apart from the majority of patio dining sets. The assembly was quite easy. My husband was very busy with work and I was too excited about the furniture that I didn't want to wait one more day, so I did it all by myself. The instructions were clear and simple to follow. The only bad thing was that while I was assembling two of the four chairs I noticed that in one was a metal insert missing which would not allow the screw to hold in, and in another chair one hole was a little off and therefore I could not place the screw through both parts of the chairs. So, I had to take them to a shop to fix those problems. While this set is expensive, this should not happen, but because they were minor issues I did not want to hassle with the return . However it looks to be of a good quality. I cannot say more because I own it for 3 days only. Even though the set is expensive, at the same time it is a good price. I did a lot of research regarding prices for teak dining sets and most of the time I would see them for over $ 2000.

This teak set is an ok deal for the price. My sister has a lovely Smith and Hawken set (the table cost nearly as much as this whole set) which is far more durable, but you get what you pay for. I wish I had seen this in person because the chair slats are very thin and could easily break if someone heavy sat on them or if someone (ie, a child) stepped on the chair seats. It was very easy to put this set together - maybe 1.5 hours to unpack and assemble everything with a power screwdriver. If you plan to purchase this set, factor in the cost of seat cushions because you will need them to ensure that you don't break the slats. The bench, in particular, is not super sturdy. The table is easy to unfold and it appears to be better made than the chairs - I expect it will last for a long time. It is very easy to extend the table. One chair arrived with a broken piece, but customer service sent out a replacement immediately. If you want an inexpensive set and you are ok replacing chairs at some point (and you don't weigh too much!), this is fine for the price.

I just received my dining set last weekend. Setting it up took about 2 hours. Most of the pieces fit flawlessly although I did find one piece where the pre-drilled holes were not finished. I had to drill them myself. Also, one chair isn't completely level so I need to look at how to adjust it. That said, the wood was nice & smooth, every piece was very sturdy. I love the ease of extending the table. I will probably buy some seat cushions but in general I'm very happy with my set.

This set is beautiful. Went together easily with the help of a power screwdriver and my neighbor, Ralph who did all the work. Seats are comfy and the table leaf storage is ingenious. I wish my inside dining room table was made the same way. It was shipped in less than two weeks time and they arrived when they said they would. This was my first purchased from Sam's Club on-line and I must say it was a very pleasant experience all the way around.

This is a beautiful looking TEAK set with an amazing price. However, after purchasing 6 TEAK Barstools at a price of $150 each at the Teak Warehouse I got some tips on taking care of the TEAK. The Teak Warehouse uses Grade "A" teak, and the salesperson there recommended that I water down the teak material once every 3 monhs. After taking her advice I watered down this set. After a couple days I see spotting on the teak set. It's not as noticable until you pay attention to the area, but disappointing none the less. The little wood pieces used for aesthetic purposes after assembly always falls off the chairs. But assembling this item is very very easy!!!
I still like the set.

We bought this to go with the teak seating group that we also bought online here. It is a beautiful set. I did alot of comparison shopping and read the reviews here and this set is one that sells for much more money elsewhere. This dining set is nice and heavy weight of wood and is comfortable. I am adding cushions that I ordered elsewhere. We love the bench which can add flexible seating at the table or looks great on its own elsewhere.
The set is pretty easy to build with a power screwdriver and 4 hands! The shipping was quick and they call you to deliver it right where you want it!

I am very pleased with this set. At first assembly seemed a bit intimidating, but the instructions were very clear and the pieces fit together nicely. They even provide extras in the hardware bag. Done in no time. It is a nice weight and so feels like a quality set, especially for the price. The leaves fold underneath the tabletop and pop right up to extend the size which is very convenient. I do agree with a previous reviewer--the chair seat slats could have been spaced a little closer, but that doesn't stop me from giving it maximum stars. While the shipping seems a little pricey, the item was delivered much quicker than expected, and the company called to schedule the appointment and was right on time. I expect we will get many years of enjoyment from this item.

Like the other reviews, I wanted some kind of wood patio set, preferably teak. Then I saw the price on most sets. Being a first time homeowner, I was in for a big shock. Then I realized I could get a quality set for a reasonable price that, if maintained, will last for years and years.
I don't write many (if any) reviews but I felt this set deserved one. The chairs are comfy and I love to rest my feet on the cross bar under the table. I plan on getting cushions eventually but I'm in no hurry.
The built-in leaf system is cool too. I've impressed many friends by showing off how easily this table converts to a larger table.
The only thing I would caution is the lighter shade of the set. Over time, teak with weather to a grayish tone. If you don't like the weathered look, you can preserve the light color. Many people use teak oil or sealer. After reading LOTS of reviews, I went with SEMCO teak sealer. It comes in gallons or quarts and it is expensive ($90/gal) but WELL worth it. They have a few different shades. I went with dark brown. It darkened this set only slightly and it's now a bronze-ish color. Plus it only took about 1/2 the gallon to do my entire set. I'll have plenty to re-apply next year.
Overall I couldn't be any happier about buying this set.

My husband and I were looking for a dining set that was good quality and not too terribly expensive. We had checked some local patio shops and just about given up when we came across this set.
I live in the central valley of California so its HOT in this area during the summer. Our patio is totally shaded around 4 pm so we didn't need an umbrella but a metal dining set would still be hot. We liked the teak since it would be cooler to the touch and we have the option to let it bleach out or we can apply teak oil to hold the color and waterproof it.
We loved this teak dining set as it is very versatile in that you can use the set without the extension and the chairs fit 2 to each side. When the chairs are under the table they only stick out about 6 inches so that saves valuable space. You can place the bench somewhere else in the backyard for seating.
When the table is extended, you can sit a chair at each end with plenty of leg room, 2 chairs on one side and the bench on the other. When the chairs are next to each other, they are close but still plenty of room to move around.
This is a beautiful set, well made, sturdy and very affordable. The seats are comfortable and if you wanted, you could purchase chair cushions to add color and comfort.
If you think that this isn't such a great deal, go out and price patio furniture. Once you pick yourself up off the ground, you'll realize what a bargain this set is. All in all, we love the set and the price was very competitive. Sams club might want to include shipping and handling in the cost as Costco does, would make it even a sweeter deal.

Just bought this and put together in about an hour. Received product in 5 days. Very pretty set, extremely easy to put together, all brass hardware, comes with extra bolts. Bench is a nice touch. Butterfly extensions (two sections) are a breeze to open and close. All chairs and bench fit under table when not being used. Note you will need to buy an umbrella base if you use an umbrella with this set. Only real con is the individual slats for the seats seem to give a little if you exert too much weight on them -- should do fine for everyday use, just don't stand on the chairs. The number of small slats lends to a nice look but means sanding or oiling would be more difficult if you are into that -- I will probably just let it grey out. Tried out the teak set from Hm Depot and this set has much more comfortable seating (the HD set chairs are a bit sturdier but smaller and have no contour -- like sitting on a block). I think this set is nicer looking, too. I'd buy it again...

We just got this furniture. It took less than an hour to remove the pieces from the box and put everything together. It was by far the easiest furniture/toy type item that I've ever put together! It is very sturdy and has a nice finish. I anticipate a long life for this set, but will update this at the end of the summer
