I travel a lot and turn the air conditioner off to my apartment while I am gone and being on the 3rd floor it gets hot and hard to cool down in the evening when I return after an extended trip. Turning this fan on and using the figure eight setting my apartment cools down in two hours versus the 6 hours before I got the fan which is a very big reduction in time the A/C runs reducing the electricity bill. It also has a varialbe fan speed and timer that I use a lot. The thermometer is not accurate so the fan does not shut off as it should when the temperature reduces, but that has not been a problem due to having the timer shut the fan off. I like the ease of adjusting the direction of air flow from the fan, best adjustment of any fan I have had.
