The big catch on prepaid calling cards is the instate long distance rate. It can vary from no surcharge to 800 percent. Calling cards from different companies have different surcharge multipliers for different states. Before buying a particular brand calling card, compare the instate rates. The effective state-to-state rate on this card is 3.5 cents per minute because of shipping and handling. By comparison, a comparable 3 cent per minute 1000 minute calling card from Minute Pass is 3.1 cents because the postage and handling is only 95 cents. When comparing, also note many cards do not guarantee the same rate at recharge time and charge an additional 15 percent recharge convienence fee.

Cost for in state calls is 18 cents a min. A far cry from the Sprint card they use to sell which was less than 3 cents a min.
Read the fine print before buying, very few calls for in state calls are at the 1 min. rate some are even higher than the Alaska charge.
Cost to call from a pay phone is also very high.
All I can say is read the fine print before you buy. Buyer Beware.
