We recieved the sign and the bulbs were broken. My husband called the number on the brochure to let them know and to see if we could order new ones. The person he talked to pretty much told him good luck. He had no suggestions on where to purchase bulbs.

Inexpensive but flimsy,

This is overall not a bad deal, but beware that it is fairly flimsy compared to many of the signs I have seen. If you are using it for light use, this will be okay. I own a business and used this sign to replace one I had for many years. It was certainly easy to mount, but access to the lights is not the greatest and the strips that hold the letters need to be closer together to keep the letters from getting blown off. It is very bright! If you are not concerned about durability, give this sign a shot. If durability is a concern, I would examine it closely in person first. I am not sure I would have purchased it if I had looked it over more closely. I would have had to pay a higher price to buy a sturdier sign however.

I looked around before purchasing one of these signs and found that they were priced elsewhere up to and over $1,000. I took the advice of others on this review and bought the extra box of letters. (there are two sides so you do need them)! After getting the sign I noticed the weakness was where the lettering went. I upgraded the unit by welding an "L" bracked along the bottom to stabalize the legs. I left about 1/4" gap for the plexiglass that I used to cover the sides. The plexiglass is 1/8" thick and held by wingnuts.I used hurricane type hardware with the bolt protruded and the wingnut exposed for easy removal of the plexiglass. The plexiglass cost an extra $180 bucks but made the unit durable and clean. It also keeps the wind from blowing the letters around or someone messing with the letters. Also the letters look glossy and more professional. I would highly recommend doing this small outfitting and plexiglass. We had wind of over 4o mph last week wih a storm and no problems what so ever. Overall an outstanding deal and attention getter. As for lighting up and flashing, excellent as well. I have had numerous compliments on the sidn and it attracts new business daily.

Not good for wind,

I bought my sign 13 months ago. Last Spring we had some high winds, 40 mph wind gust, and that blew the sign apart. Upon closser inspection, some of the bolts were loose on the frame. I thought that was the cause of the problem. I called the manufacterer, and they said the sign is rated to 80mph wind speeds. I managed to put the sign back together. So, my sign is tight now. Well today 12/13/2008 we had a 45 mph wind gust, SIGN GUTS ALL OVER!! The frame is tight, and there is no reason for that to have happened. I am pretty sure I will not be replacing the sign with one from Sam's Club.

This is a really great sign to advertise for any business. The sign is very bright and grabs customers attention. The sign itself is light for 2 people to move around. Just remember to secure it to the ground. The wind picked mine up and through it across the parking lot. Wish it came with more letters. Sams does not sell just the letters, so you have to purchase elsewhere. Great value. Recommend highly.
