I Flipped It Over,

I'm sure this is a very good memory foam mattress but my lower back simply cannot tolerate memory foam, alas. It brings back my sciatica and gives me a backache. Too bad because the squishiness in kinda cozy. But I need a firm, flat surface, apparently.
So I flipped it over and have been sleeping on the straight polyurethane. This is much more like a firm spring mattress. The surface is a bit hard so I put a comforter over it. Might get a feather topper. It has a reassuring little bounce while still being isolating (memory foam is more like soft clay).
I'd feel guilty returning this because there's really nothing wrong with it. 8" seems adequately thick (I do not hit bottom). The mild foam smell dissipates after about a week unless you put your nose in it. It continues to expand for several days and really does reach 60x80x8 inches (I measured it). It is made in the USA by Foamex Innovations (only the cover is from China). You don't sink so far into it you can't turn over, 3" of memory foam is probably ideal. The price is rock bottom and shipment cheap from Indiana.
At least I won't be wearing out the memory foam layer in case I want to hand it off to a family member. But I think I can get used to this. It actually might be more comfortable than a spring mattress considering I'm not using a box spring (currently the on floor, building a platform bed). BTW, 6', 200lbs, handsome, witty.

Good deal!,

Just bought this last week. Was a bit worried about the odor after reading the other reviews but there hardly was any odor and it went away fast. Was easy to set up and very comfortable. Was also worried we might be hot due to the foam but it's not. Two of us plus our large dog can lay on it and it doesn't sag in the middle. How convenient to have it delivered in a box and to unroll it at home. It's a great mattress for the price - firm yet comfortable.

Great value for the price. We experienced no odor at all and it was easily installed after opening the plastic protective covering. We bought it for our RV and it worked out just fine!
It is a little softer than our memory foam mattress at home but for the 8" thickness it is fine. We still get a good nights sleep.

FANTASTIC BUY ON THIS BED,

This is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time - my son had taken his bed set to college, but I didn't want to replace it with a big bulky mattress and box spring - so we bought this mattress and a bed platform/springs and it has been fantastic!!! The price was great too and It was delivered right to the door within a week - all problems solved! Excellent softness/hardness - perfectly balanced and no smell - Thanks Sams!

Overrated,

Had this mattress for a few weeks now, and it still smells like foam. Have to wash my sheets every other day because they seem to soak up the smell. I also don't think it ever reached full capacity because thier is still plenty of space in the cover. Lastly, the cover looks like a plain white sheet, nothing like the picture.

It is a nice mattress for the price,

I love this mattress and it is so comfortable. It was delivered to me in a box which was easy to carry. The delivery was prompt. But the mattress pad that is shown in the picture is not the same in the delivered product. It is just a thin cover that comes with this mattress. I think the picture should be changed to the show the exact product that will be delivered or the product should have the mattress pad covering as shown in the picture. I also see that this mattress does not fit perfectly for the queen size bed that I bought in IKEA. Not sure if the bed is little bigger or the mattress is little smaller that what it should be. But it doesnt look odd at all. There's a small one inches gap on the top and bottom area of the bed.

Decent purchase,

A year ago we've purchased Tempurpedic mattress, but returned it because of strong chemical odor. The Aerus Natural 8” doesn't have such a strong odor, but some of it is still present after more than a week. I hope it will disappear eventually. A good thing is the Aerus has similar memory foam feeling and my back "likes" it. Good balance of softness and firmness.

Aerus Natural 8" Queen Memory foam mattress,

I switched from a waterbed mattress when I moved to my new home. Bought the "better than box spring from Sams" online also delivered, and the Aerus memory foam mattress. Took a couple days to get used to the switch from a water bed. For the price, I'd say it's comparable to the the theraputic mattress I looked at for 3X the price. Very fast shipping from Sams Club to my home, and the mattress is very comfortable. More firm than soft, but I'm a side sleeper and it works out fine.

Lives up to previous reviews - great buy,

I bought a Serta Perfect Sleeper set from Sam's while I was living overseas. Unfortunately, after I'd been home and sleeping on it for a few weeks, I was waking up every day in miserable pain. It was just too firm for me.
I read all of the memory foam mattress reviews online here before choosing to go with this one. It is soft - especially when sitting on the edge - but I am finally sleeping like a baby and waking up completely refreshed.
The best thing I can recommend is for those of you considering a mattress purchase to go to the Sleep Number website and estimate your number. I am a 40 and i LOVE this mattress. My sister is a 65 and she says it's alright, but a bit too soft for her taste. The Serta Perfect Sleeper Extra Firm pillowtop equates to a 95-100.
It was pretty cool taking this mattress out of the box - the compressed mattress was about 30" x 18", so it was very easily moved upstairs and it was fully expanded within an hour.
Hope this review helps you make a decision. I've had my mattress for a few months now and still love it. This is the best money I've ever spent.

Not Firm,

The minus, NOT very firm.
If you like a soft mattress then you'll likely enjoy this. If however you like a firm mattress you will be disappointed. Firm it is not.
It was fun to watch this ball of squished up foam spring to life. The smell isn't bad. It has a mild new foam smell that goes away in a few days but is hardly worth mentioning.
I've given it a few days and tried a mattress cover to help prevent my slight 150lb frame from oozing into the memory foam. I still ooze.
Who wants that? I have a strict no ooze policy.
It will work as a spare bed but it can't stay as the primary because it's too soft. Otherwise a good deal.

Great for a Budget,

Very comfortable, great for a tight budget. A course it's not top notch but it's certainly an upgrade from a spring mattress. I would recommend you have some kind of mattress topper to beef it up and make the first week a little more comfortable while you "break" it in. Also the mattress topper also reduced the "chemical" smell a lot. And the fact that it's a bed-in-a-box made it so easy to move to the bedroom and set up with just one person.

Not bad for a cheap mattress,

This item came quickly and didn't smell like some reviewers said. Getting it out of the wrapping was not nearly as exciting as I would have thought. It just kind of oozed out and became the proper size. We put a feather bed topper on it and used it for guests on a platform bed. It certainly isn't anything spectacular and is very firm but with a feather topper it's not bad.

Pleasantly Surprised,

In the next few years i am planning on purchasing a Tempur-pedic but till then i needed something immediately- I figured this mattress would due ...very surprised at how much i like it considering it is WAY LESS expensive than the Tempur-pedic. My husband tosses & it doesn't disturb me near as much as regular mattresses. Very good buy.

I too was skeptical about this mattress before sleeping on it. We have used it to replace a spring mattress in our RV. Except for the initial smell (count on a couple days to get rid of it in a RV) it was an extremely pleasant surprise. I had back surgery 6 years ago and am 6 ft 3 inches 290 lbs. It not only supported me and my wife but gave us a fantastic night's sleep. Actually missed getting up early the next morning to go fishsing because it was so comfortable. Perfect for people who have spouses who used to toss and turn all night.
Extremely good value especially compared to conventional spring mattresses.

One of the best products out there,
