I bought a 6.1 channel Onkyo Home Theater system about 3 years ago for my basement. I decided I would not mind 2 side apeakers and 1 speaker on the wall behind me and the other 3 plus the sub woofer surrounding the TV in front of me. The sound is great but I did not want all the speakers in my family room upstairs. For this reason I took a chance on buying a Bose 1-2-3 for $718 + tax. After using the system for 3 weeks I have decided the sound from the Onkyo system is far far superior and I paid half the money for it. The Bose system is okay for a 2 speaker plus a bass speaker ( it is not a true sub woofer ) if it were priced at $325. I am not happy with the sound I am getting for the money I paid. I would suggest you consider spending time in an electronics store listening to systems before making a decision. Consider a 5.1 channel with wireless rear speakers. Check system online reviews before making your purchase. Good shopping!

We absolutely LOVE this system. It was easy to set up and the sound is GREAT! Easy to connect to the T.V. Easy to program the remote for all your systems (t.v., gaming system, etc...) And the fact that I bought it for hundreds less than anywhere else makes it that much more special!

Great Product,

I have been wanting a new home theatre system for some time now. In my basement game room I have a 5.1 surround system but wanted something in the upstairs living room. I have always liked Bose products however the prices were a little high for my budget. I found myself intrigued with the 3-2-1 system but was on the fence with it and another 5.1 system. After thinking for quite some time and several disscusions with the wife (who is not into home audio at all) I decided to go with the smaller 3-2-1 system. I knew from the start I was not going to get true surround sound with just the two speakers and a sub. However what I did get was more than I could have imagined. This is a very high quality setup for the price, the 1080i upgrade brings your old DVD's to a new life and the sound is unbeatable. I have a big living room and this little system fills it up with all the sound you could want. If you are looking for a system with window cracking bass this is probably not for you, however if you are looking for clean crisp sound that deleivers the extra punch of bass that a t.v. can't than look no further. You will hear things in movies you did not know were there with this setup and to speak of setup it is very easy even if you have never done this sort of thing before. Once again if you dont want to have to run and hide wires for rear speakers, and are looking for a nice complement to any movie or normal t.v. watching, you wont be dissapointed with this product.

Just Buy It!,

I have been mulling over this purchase for quite sometime now. I finally bought this system and all I can say is WOW. If you have a small to medium size room this is all the system you will ever need. I have always been skeptical about such a small system but this Bose system will put much larger ones to shame. It took less than a half hour to set up, I love the universal remote. The sound is amazing! If you're on the fence just give it try you'll love it. I want one for every room in my house.

Enhance your home movie experience,

We purchased the Bose 3-2-1 last week and tested it out all weekend. What a difference it made! You can hear sounds that you didn't know where there. Even our dogs confused "tv dog barking" for real barking. Not having to strain to hear the sounds, frees your senses to focus more on the visual.
We are still figuring out how to use the remote with our ATT Uverse cable box, so we are using 2 remotes at the moment.
