1. A few pieces out of 23 boxes had chips in the finished side. Not too bad out of 23 boxes. May have been due to shipping.
2. $300 shipping for $600 of flooring seems excessive.
3. I bought underlayment and suggest this be added to the order format (I may have missed it).
4. The only really troublesome issue is I added to an existing floor from the previous owner. The wood matches exactly in color and texture but the joints are different. The result is I have a slight difference in the flooring height at the joint (about 1/64"). I didn't notice this until after I was well past the joint and didn't go back and pull it apart to try and make an adjustment. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem?

This flooring is very nice. My only problem is I purchased this flooring to add to a room (6'x3')I did several years ago and they have since changed the style of the tongue and groove. Did not match up well. Other than that it is fine.

Awesome floor!

I researched flooring on the Internet and in the home improvement stores before making my purchase from Sam's. The LivingFlooring brand is manufacturered by one of the leaders the home improvement stores promote. It is a solid quality product and had none of the problems and blemishes the other brand blogs described.

Of the 17 boxes shipped, several had damage so I called customer service and they explained they would refund my money for any unusable boxes. Fortunately, all of the damaged boards worked fine along one wall where the boards had to be ripped to fit!

With the help of one other woman, we installed the floor in a 14 x 15 room in one 11 hour day - that includes removing and replacing furniture, re-installing baseboards, painting baseboards and caulking.

The most difficult part of installing the flooring was aligning the first strip of boards becasue this room had several odd corners and extrusions visible from the living area. After that, the stuff went down pretty fast.

You'll need a fine blade on a circular saw, a jig saw and a $10 puller tool you can buy at the hardware store to get the boards snug.

It's more convenient to have one person on the floor (knee pads) and another lining up the wood but it could be accomplished by a single person if necessary.

It looks fantastic and cost about 40% of what I saw it for in the other stores.
