I was not satisfied with the particular unit I received. I noticed immediately upon opening the box that the unit had previously been returned by someone else. The unit has a defective construction as the mounting system for the wheels where never created for this unit. The generator is probably alright, but I have not even filled it with oil yet as I am trying to work with Gentron concerning the wheel mounts. Sam's Club needs to be sure units returned are not defective prior to sending them out again.

Generator purchase,

The generator showed up sooner than I thought it would. The shipping company was very helpful as we live in a rural area. After a short assembly, it fired right up. Hopefully it will continue to be a good surprise as its major use wont be until summer camping. No poblems so far eccept the translation of directions in the owners manual.

a good purchase,

have made several test runs of the gen. but not in heavy use. appears well made and well put together.. found no loose bolts. shipping pkg a little thin..made 3 little mods. 1. used an ngk spark plug vs. original chinese one. 2 . am using a grp 24 batt. vs original small batt. 3. made larger battery cables. love the electric start feature. unit now starts immediately with no choke. voltage is right on spec. both ac and dc. a little noisy overall but exhaust is quiet. for use at ocean house..i would buy this unit again and am planning on getting the smaller unit for an rv.

WE LIVE IN A RURAL AREA AND HAVE TROUBLE WITH A LOT OF POWER OUTAGES. WE HAVE HAD THIS GENERATOR FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AND HAVE USED IT 5 TIMES ALREADY AND IT HAS WORKED PERFECT. I WILL PROBABLY HAVE A WHOLE HOUSE STANDBY GENERATOR INSTALLED NEXT YEAR BUT FOR NOW THIS WAS A GOOD BUY.
