Excellent product at an amazing price!,

WOW! This desk is much more than we expected. We had looked several other places and were only able to find a handful of desks that still have the cpu tower included. All the desks we found were double the price of this desk and not even as nice. We also wanted a desk that could sit in the middle of the room. This desk is finished on all sides making that possible. The desk is very solid (seems to be made of mostly solid wood and heavy) and looks amazing. I still can't believe what we got for such a low price. The reviews about the cpu cabinet being a little too small are correct, but the back panel of that cabinet opens up and the cabinet is very large allowing for the tower to be at an angle and still accessible with no problems.

Great Desk,

This is a very good desk for the money. It is heavy as lead and will take 2 people to assemble the drawer sections. One to hold while the other puts in the screws. You won't find a better deal. My only knock was the delivery company's website was not functioning but when I called Sam's they quickly located the desk and file cabinet. Got it within a week.

Great Find!,

My husband and I spent an entire Saturday looking for a desk for our small home office. We never found one. I went online and came upon Sam's club online and found this desk. I read all the reviews (which were all good), the price was right! We decided to order it and see how it was. Well.... I was away when the order arrived but my husband was home. The delivery guys were great. 4 boxes. My husband set the whole desk up himself. 13 pieces! He said it went very smoothly. We cannot believe how nice the desk looks. The quality for the price is OUTSTANDING!!!! We looked at desks that were double almost triple the price of this one and they were not nearly as nice. This desk is solid and looks like we spent a fortune! We are very very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a desk for a small home office. It is truly amazing!

Great Desk; Great Value,

This Desk is great. It was relativley easy to put together (1hr). Looks great and is very solid. I have gotten lots of compliments on it and I have only had it in my office for a week. Seems like it should have cost 2 to 3 times as much.

Good Purchase,

The desk is very nice and a good value for the price. It was not too difficult to put together and all the parts were in order and instructions were easy to follow.
The only negative that I found was that my CPU tower did not fit into the cabinet from front to back with the cords plugged in. So that the doors would close on the CPU cabinet, I put the CPU tower on the floor under the desk where desk unit comes together and used the CPU cabinet with a shelf for extra storage. It was not a big inconvience that it did not fit into the cabinet made for it.

We purchased two of these desks 18 months ago and they were 4" wider on the return top and 6" wider on the desk top (than the ones currently available). The stain was more of a medium walnut. We had to leave the small cabinet out of the inside of the area for the CPU since our CPU wouldn't fit until we did. The desks currently being shipped are smaller (see above) and are a very dark stain. The new ones have all of the wonderful features that we liked about the first two. Additionally, the area for the CPU has a shelf that the CPU can sit on instead of resting on the bottom (gives you room for other items). We have recently purchased four of the current ones and are happy; just wish the top of the desks were larger. These are substantial - assemble them in close proximity to final location.

Great Buy!,

We recently received our desk and love it. Before I purchased it I saw a lot of reviews saying that it was hard to put together. I completely disagree! It was not hard at all to put together. It took longer to take the thing out of the four boxes than it actually took to assemble. They package it really well so that the pieces don’t get damaged. Nothing was damaged, all the pieces were there and compared to other office furniture we considered buying this is a great desk for the price. Very well build. If you are having second thoughts about buying it, just do it. You will be happy with it.

We love our new desk. One of the desktops came with a crack down the side of it. We called the Whalen customer service number with no problem and the replacement top was shipped to us within 4 days. This desk is very well structured and was fairly easy to put together.
We bought the hutch top as well, which is beautiful and really completes the look in our den.

This is a super nice desk - great value.
Great looks - lots of compliments.
Very Solid materials
Easy to put together.
Minor cons:
The storage area for the PC is too small for my mid-sized PC. I have to have it at an angle and it still barely fits.
This is fine for most days, but when I need to burn a CD or something it is a bit annoying.
Also wish the cabling nooks were designed a little bit better.
Overall though, no regrets at all.
We've had it for about 4 months and love it.

Fantastic Desk,

I did my research rather thoroughly and found this desk set to be the best value around.
I fit all four boxes in our minvan (thank goodness for Stow-n-go). A friend of mine and I put the entire thing together in less than an hour so I'm not sure about the people that say it's hard to assemble.
I was given two of the same pieces and called Whalen to get the correct piece sent to me and had no hassle at all.
I don't do these online reviews very often, but always read them before making a purchase so they must have done something right to motivate me to write this.
Great desk. Great value. I just wish I had a PC to take full advantage, but it's great for our two laptops.

Great Desk,

I have used every day for last 6 months and have not been disappointed. I'm 70 years old and I picked up at store, carried up one flight from garage piece by piece and assembled myself. Sure this is heavy, but manageable.
Quality is great, assembly straight forward as all the major items ( drawers etc.) are fully assembled modules.
I have received many complements from clients and friends, who thought that this was at least a $1200.00 piece of furnitur.e

This desk come in as 4 heavy boxes. It took two persons up to 3-4 hours to assemble it. Some parts of the instruction are not clearly written and the assembly work is not easy and need lot of strength. Although the desk are very heavy, it is not made of solid wood. Overall, I like the design and look of the desk. It appears to have good quality as well. It can easily cost more in any furniture store.

I purchased the desk today and tried to put it together. Several of the screws would not tighten to secure the peices together. When we tried to connect the two large peices together, the wood bulged creating a large gap between the two peices where the desks should meet. I called Whalen Furniture directly to complain. Their only offer to resolve the problem was to "pay for my gas" to return the desk to Sam's Club. Nevermind that I lugged these four huge boxes to my office and spent two hours assembling before we realized the product was defective. I demanded a refund or a credit back. Whalen furniture said that if they were to credit me any money back whatsoever, they would notify Sam's Club immediately and I wouldn't be able to return the item. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME SPEAK TO A MANAGER. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A WHALEN FURNITURE PRODUCT AGAIN!!!

We purchased it online. Great buy for the price, unbeatable. Quality is good, spacious and it very heavy durable table. Only thing could be if they would have more compartments for printer and other devices. But overall great buy for the price is offered at Sams club. Awesome Quality,
