Sony Blu ray player BDP-BX2 cosmetically looks good and operates flawlessly. Easy installation, plug in AC power and HDMI cable and it’s ready to play even thru you’re already hooked up audio system. Makes non Blu ray disc look better then regular DVD player. Blu ray disc look and sound superb.
Recommend purchasing jump drive, as I did, to plug into back of player. This additional memory allows access to special scenes on Blu ray disc.
Did not connect to high speed internet to try BD Live.

It's good but has some problems,

First and foremost... no eject button on the remote. It plays well and the image looks great. But the audio drops out every so often, you have to stop the move then start it again for the audio to pick back up.

Our first Blu Ray player,

Good product.
Lost my sound on the first Blu Ray disc, turns out my surround sound does not decode DTS, but there is a setting for that in audio set up screen, so I got that taken care of.
Works very well on upconverting regular DVDs.
Really like that the HDMI cable was included.
The only thing missing is the eject function on the remote, well at least it gets you out of the recliner!

Great Product,

This DVD player does an excellent job with Blu-Ray DVD's and an excellent job with up-converting regular DVD's. The regular DVD's look almost as good as the Blu-Ray. It's easy to set up and use, and when an update is needed Sony will send you a free update disk. Mine had the latest Sony update already installed. I'm really picky and I'm quite pleased with the quality of the picture this DVD player puts on a high definition TV. The only thing I can say against it is that there is no eject button on the remote. You have to use the eject button on the front of the player.
If picture quality is everything to you, buy this player you won't be sorry.

I love this Blu-ray player. It was a breeze to setup and works perfect. The Blu-rays look great on my TV and even my DVD's look great. I have had no issues with it. It also looks great on my entertainment center. Only con is I wish the HDMI cable would have been a little longer.
