Out of the box this TV in a one word explanation is WOW***This is our second Vizio We first bought a Vizio last year for my son in college and he and his friends are Vizio fans. I asked him to ask his geek friend what brand to buy and they all said Vizio. I was looking to replace a 20 inch Sony that we had in our bedroom and I was set on getting an LED set since they are to be so much brighter and clearer and use less energy. I wanted to stay with Vizio since they are an American company and trying to stimulate our own economy. The only LED units Vizio has available are the smaller units or the bigger 42 inch and larger units right now. So since our Sony did not live up to its reputation we needed a TV ASAP and I ended up with this 37". I did a little research and I have to say for the extra money the XVT model was worth the money. I say a big difference in brightness and clarity from the non XVT model.We took this out of the box plugged it in, let it program itself and bingo WOW, what a picture and sound. Perfect size for the bedroom. I am not an electronics friendly person so ease of use was huge for me. This was easy to program and use. Great TV for the money and Sam’s did have the best price. No going to replace our other Sony 50" soon.

bought this tv cause has a 50,000 to 1 color ratio and has picture in picture and 1080p and slim design and great price.my old 52 inch phillips had only 10,000 to 1 color ratio and i can tell a big difference.when i watched the movie up on bluray on the vizeo it was so colorful and didnt even have to change the picture to vivid like my old tv i had to.first time ive had a vizeo and the only thing i dont know is how reliable vizeo is.so far no problems. only thing the pip only works without cable box.like the front speakers has very good sound.like the hdmi button on the remote.

Purchased this TV and am so pleased with it. I am a 62 year-young :) woman and brought this TV home and set it up myself with no trouble. Hooked it to antenna while waiting for Dish to come and the picture is s-o-o clear even on antenna. Picture quality is great. Sound could be a bit better but it's not bad. Love the TV!

We were looking for something that would fit our current entertainment center. A 37in was what we needed and after reading many reviews on this site, amazon and other sites, the Vizio SV370XVT had very few negatives related to the TV, most were related to the lack luster remote which we do not use since we have a cable box with a universal remote. this TV was easy to setup, I really liked the pre-set picture settings so you don't have to tune the picture which you can do if you want to make adjustments. the HDMI connection takes care of all the picture and sound so hooking it up was a breeze. I have had this set for 3 weeks now and did purchase the ext warranty through Sams.

We did have to exchange the tv one time because the remote sensor had an intermittant problem. But the 2nd tv has been great so far. Picture is fantastic. Sound is ok, not great. If you don;t have a lot of space and want a nice tv with a good picture, this is one to choose.

We've been thinking about a HD tv for a while but have limited space for one. A 37" is the largest that will fit for us. Lately, the availability of 37" sets seemed to be decreasing so we found this set at a great price online at Sam's Club.
Haven't turned on the HD service yet. We're on satellite and waiting for the DirecTV Tivo HD DVR to come out.
SD picture is absolutely fine for us - brilliant color, sharp picture. And quick, free shipping from Sam's.
The only bad thing for me is that the remote is hard to read (old eyes) because the print is small and the buttons are small for my large hands. That's why I gave it a 4 on quality.

Read all the reviews before I purchased this TV, since I have no experience with the Vizio brand. Also, checked it out at the store and compared prices at other stores. This is a great tv. We are blown away by the picture. Great delivery. No problems and it was here quickly. Only had it a couple of weeks and haven't had the time to check out all the features yet. Simple set up right out of the box. Love it!!

this is a very super set and is a steal at $629.00.at target this price was $679.00.i love this picture which is very real like and plays like the samsung slim led.glad i made the switch to this set even though i had to make up the difference in price which shows if you want great quality you have to spend more money but it's worth it in the long and short run!

I was tring to decide between a Samsung, Sony Bravia and Vizio LCD HDTV. After reading reviews and seeing them in the stores, the Vizio 37" Ultra Slim 120 Hz was the best for the money. You get a top of the line TV without the hefty pricetag. I think the Vizio is even better than the Sony and equal or better than the Samsung. The picture is amazing, the tv itself looks nice and is very light and thin, and the Picture-in-Picture (and POP) are great features. Audio is great, too.
I purchased through Sam's Club for a great price and had no problems. Ordered Saturday, received Thursday with standard shipping. I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this Vizio.

I am a female so not so into electronical things. But I must say that the picture on this tv is amazing...I am in awe and to be honest I have never watched so much tv as I do now. I'm actually watching movies that we have because I love the picture. One con is the remote does not work besides the volume...fortunately we don't need it with the satelitte remote. Good TV For the Money,

My wife and I purchased this tv for the bedroom and it's our second lcd we've bought from Sams club in the last year. The first was a JVC that I love to death. I was hesitant to purchase a Vizio but I got over that when comparing the prices for the size, quality, and other features. 1st this is the only lcd that I know of that has PIP(real plus). 2nd for the price it's a great 120Hz. 3rd the clarity is awesome when watching BluRay, HDTV, or even STDV. This tv makes eveything smooth.
Now for the cons, there's no sleep timer on the remote(I use that alot). The features are nice, but you have to navigate with the remote to get some of them. The backlight seems to go up and down. I don't know if it's the input from source or the tv.
Other than that it's great to have and I would buy another one. I bought a universal remote to use with my cable box, lcd tv, and dvd which solved the sleep timer remote problem. Hope this helps.
