This is a great buy. The monitor in particular is the best I've ever used. Since the monitor is what you stare at all day I'm a believer in having a good one and this one is great.
Windows 7 also is a big improvment over previous systems. The CPU is fast quiet and I have had no problems with it.
The only down side is the only speaker is in the monitor and it is a poor one. So buy speakers. I used some high quality speakers I had on the CPU this replaced.

Love the monitor,

Quite pleased with purchase. The only problem I run into is the wireless mouse and keyboard. The mouse hesitates, as does the keyboard at certain times. There is also a loud buzzing in my speakers when that happens. Very annoying. I moved my cordless phone, and that seems to help some. But there must be some interference from outside. There is no PS/2 keyboard or mouse input, so I cannot switch back to a wired mouse or keyboard.

Great Selection,
12/04/2009

I went back and forth, doing my homework on all the systems available and the different places to shop. We decided on this system, HP Pavilion Elite Desktop 2.5GHz, 1TB, 27" HD LCD, because it have everything we was looking for to replace our old computer. The only draw back was we thought the 27" monitor would be too big for our desk. However, I love the 27" and I wonder how I got along with a 15" for so long. We have had no problems so far with anything, and I have used it a lot for the past week. For the price, you could not buy one with everything this unit has anywhere else.

Just bougt this system yesterday. Easy to set-up. Use your own speakers though. Lovely picture on monitor. One downside. I contacted HP and was told this unit has a 300W power unit. If you want to go to a high end video card you are out luck as they are all 400 and up. Guy told me I didn't need a better video card. How little he knows. Other than this its a great system/

Great computer. . .,
11/14/2009
By: jjprescott, North Port, Florida
I can't say enough about this computer. Very fast setup and it runs like lighting. Fast start up and programs run almost as fast as you double click on them. The screen is bright and very user friendly. Most of my 'older' programs loaded and run just fine. Coming back from 'sleep' mode could be a bit faster but that is about the only thing I can find negative except what others have said about the limited sound system. I do wish it had more expansion slots. But other then that a great computer.

Good Computer for High End Users,
11/08/2009
By: CornerstoneWebs
This computer is more than the average user will need. As a web designer and graphic artist, I needed a computer that would keep up with my graphic intensive programs.
I have been VERY pleased with my choice. I purchased this computer and set it up in dual-monitor mode.
It has run everything quickly.
The only negative which I agree with another commenter is the sound system. The computer offers rich sound, but unfortunately the only speakers that come with this system are integrated into the monitor, and the volume levels are not quite loud enough.
Overall, if you need a power house computer for graphic work or high-end gaming, this system will surely bring a smile to your face. Just plug in your existing speakers and enjoy.

Great Buy for Your Money!!!!,
11/01/2009
By: LovngLA, Porter Ranch, CA
This new HP Desk Top is great!!! Very, very fast.. The monitor is large, bright and beautiful Full-HD.... Wireless keyboard and mouse...
The computer built in speakers are not very good for listening to movies, videos, games, or music. You will need to purchase external speakers if you like a nice sounding system.
I do recommend buying this system, if you want a great HP Desktop with lots of features, including HP Smart Media and a Blu-Ray Player... Also Windows 7 runs great too...

hp Support Lacking,
11/01/2009
By: NotTooGeeky
A powerful machine with a nice monitor and a keyboard that feels not so nice compared to what I have been using. Went together easily without much help from instructions, which are thin. Surprised no firewire port, lacking needed plugins - must be downloaded yourself. Bummer - hp 24/7 help line refused to help connect to existing XP LAN. A seemingly simple but common problem. Win 7 will only create network connections easily to other Win 7 machines, or so it seems. For this price machine, seems to me there should be more free help in getting it set up

Good buy,
10/31/2009
By: meekpal, Texas
Everything is working great. It is very fast and no lockups or crashes yet. The advertisements say that a remote control is included. It is not. Hp tech says this bundle pc does not ship with a remote control. Oh well, no tv tuner to use it on anyway. Looks very nice as well. 27" Hp monitor looks good too. CPU is very quiet, barely hear the fans running.
