I set my price point at $1,000, knowing I may go over and spent hours researching HD TV's trying to find the latest LCD technology,(minus LED), for the best price. The final two candidates were this VIZIO and a Sony. I ordered it online and received it within days with the box in good condition. Soon after we upgraded to DISH HD, and were completely blown away by the picture.
The 240hz is acheived by adding a scanning backlight to their 120hz technology. Although the benefits of this may be minimal, the picture is virtually blur free, so I feel it does help. This TV runs the 240hz all the time and there is no option to shut it off.
I did notice when HD programming such as NBC nightly news was turned on or when the scene changes, that for a fraction of a second the picture appears blurry then quickly clears. The fix was easy. All I did was shut off the real cinama mode (de-juddering engine) and turned the smooth motion off or to the low setting. I assume these features are more geared for watching movies rather than regular programming.

This tv looks fabulous, I'm using this with just an over the air antenna, and watched the super bowl with it, wow is really the best word to describe it. This is our first HDTV I've eatched sports on friends Hi Def sets before and was really only so so impressed but the colors on this et are super vivid, the set has no problems at all with blur or anything like that with the high speed sports action. Vizio has done an excellent job with this, and the price is great, I've also hooked up our xbox 360 to it via one of the many hdmi ports, the games look unreal.
If anyone is on the fence about the vizio products, I'd say go for it. This product highly recommended and the value is great

I've read a lot of reviews on this tv. from many other big name dealers and this is why I bought this one, We went in & look at the picture on display and it so much more crisp than the other more expensive brands. This is really a top of the line TV. My Mom has had hers for over a year & its still just as beautiful as the day she bought it. My husband loves playing his ps3 on it.. I swear they really look like they are in the War n these game's. My Son plays his Wii games on it and it's just gets better with each game. I have nothing bad to say about my Tv. I'm in Love with this Tv. It fits perfect with my better homes and gardens tv stand we purchased from walmart. It mounts right onto the stand which is great because u can swivel it what ever way u wanna aim the tv. so perfect from all angles =o)

The tv was delivered within advertised time frame. Setup was very easy. The picture is great. The value of this unit is excellent. The tv sound is very good but I have added a surround sound system, and a Blu-Ray player. My wife absolutely loves it! I also purchased the Vizio wall mount from Sams to install.

It is not as thin as an LED type LCD but it is hundreds less expensive and still 1080p with 240Hz. You cannot beat this TV for the price at 47". Under $1000, I could not beleive my eyes. Crystal clear picture and multiple pre-built schemes to support what you are watching: football, video games, movies, vivid... the list goes on plus you can customize. The only thing I don't like is the width of the lower bezel and the silver accent.

I recieved my TV on Saturday and hooked it up within about 5 minutes......great picture even on the non-HD channels. The 240hz takes some getting used to, but it looks super life-like. My wife said she felt like we were in the show...LOL. I will be moving this TV to the bedroom when the larger model ( 72"LED) comes out in the fall. The picture is great and I have not even watched a blu-ray yet. I would say the only issue would be figuring out which wide screen setting to put on different channels as I believe it depends on which format the show was filmed in. My previous LCD TV did not have this issue, although it WAS 5 years old and that may just be how it is now. I have it hooked up though a reciever so I cannot comment on the sound quality. Overall, a great TV for the price and I can't imagine a Sony or a Samsung, etc. having a better picture than this. Can't wait for the 72" to come out!!!!!!!!

A great TV for the price. Has a wonderful remote that controls cable box as well. Most features can be controlled by remove without having to go into the TV menu. Bright, good contrast and good color. I looked at the LED version and could not see much of a difference.

Had a Samsung, had problems and terrible support and service. Threw out a 3 year old $2000 unit. Very pleased with the Vizio. Colors are better and so is the sound. Not muffled and it was very easy to connect to my sound system and the satellite receiver.

We were forced into buying a TV to replace our 52" DLP that went kapoot. I thought that the DLP was good but when the Vizio came and we saw the perfect clarity and color we were amazed at the difference. I've never seen a picture this good. It hooked up and set up easily and the instructions for making it just like we needed for our room and lighting were easy to follow. The price, shipping , and delivery met all my expectations. Now we are thinking about a 55" for the living room and putting the 47" in the mother-in-law room. Great buy!
